Metal Net Network Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and driven NVLink Engineer to support large-scale data center deployments. In this role, you'll be at the forefront of cutting-edge infrastructure technologies, ensuring the optimal performance and stability of NVLink systems. You’ll collaborate with global teams and customers, troubleshoot complex issues and help drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the deployment of NVLink systems across large data center environments.
- Support the full lifecycle management of NVLink hardware and software components.
- Build and maintain tooling to automate and streamline the deployment, monitoring and troubleshooting workflows.
- Diagnose and resolve performance, connectivity and stability issues in complex environments.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external customers worldwide.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 support coverage.
- 5+ years of experience supporting and troubleshooting large-scale infrastructure, with a strong foundation in networking concepts and hands-on diagnosis of network and server hardware issues down to the component level.
- Strong Linux systems administration experience in production environments.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Python or Go, with the ability to develop automation and operational tooling.
- Demonstrated ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex application, system, and infrastructure issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
- Experience using Ansible or similar configuration management and automation frameworks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with InfiniBand networking.
- Experience managing large-scale environments (1,000+ switches or nodes).
- Prior experience with NVLink technologies.
- Knowledge of Redfish API for system management.
- Experience with NVUE (NVIDIA User Experience).
- Background with SONiC.
- Experience with Grafana/PromQL
The base salary range for this role is $109,000 to $204,000. The starting salary will be determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location. We strive for both market alignment and internal equity when determining compensation. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package includes a discretionary bonus, equity awards, and a comprehensive benefits program (all based on eligibility).
