Role OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Metadata Manager to help ensure the accuracy, consistency, and scalability of our content and data systems.
In this role, you will collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders across multiple lines of business, serving as a key partner in maintaining high-quality descriptive metadata and supporting efficient content operations. You will play a critical role in enabling content discovery and delivery, improving data integrity, and driving alignment across teams and workflows.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a deep passion for anime and strong metadata expertise to make a direct impact on content launches and the fan experience. Your knowledge will help ensure our content is accurately represented, easily discoverable, and ready for audiences around the world.
Responsibilities:
- Communicate meaningful, actionable insights from large data and metadata sources to stakeholders
- Establish and maintain standards for data quality, taxonomy, and metadata management to ensure data is reliable, consistent, and accessible
- Enter and manage descriptive metadata across all localized languages within CMS tools
- Validate hierarchical structures registered by the data governance team to ensure accuracy and alignment
- Analyze data received from licensors and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with delivery requirements and standards
- Perform ongoing data quality checks, audits, and issue resolution to maintain data integrity
- Build strong cross-functional partnerships and drive consensus on data standards, workflows, and best practices
- Create and maintain SOP documentation to support evolving standards, processes, and guidelines
- Contribute to building and refining hierarchies that power the digital supply chain and content discoverability
- Manage go-to-market (GTM) rollouts, including verifying dataset completion, tracking readiness, and managing timelines
- 5+ years of experience in Metadata management, data operations, or a related role within the anime, media or entertainment industry.
- 3+ years of experience managing projects using various organizational tools.
- 3+ years of experience in Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, and collaboration tools.
- Advanced Airtable proficiency.
- Multi-lingual speakers are a plus
