Metadata Administrator

Responsibilities and Duties
- Implement and manage metadata management tools and technologies.
- Review, analyze, and maintain data and metadata to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
- Collaborate effectively with business stakeholders, technology teams, and cross-functional units to comprehensively understand data requirements and challenges, ensuring a unified understanding across all parties.
- Collaborate effectively with the data stewards and custodians to ensure consistent use of data definitions, authorized data sources, and calculations. Additionally, it enlists business unit support to take ownership and responsibility for consistent definitions and quality of their data.
- Provide training and support to data stewards and data custodians on metadata management principles, policies, and procedures.
- Generate reports and presentations for senior management detailing the status of metadata management initiatives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, or a related field.
- At least 2 to 5 years of experience in data management and governance practices such as metadata management, data quality management, or master data management
- Familiarity with data management technologies and tools, including data governance platforms, metadata management systems, data quality tools, and master data management solutions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with Data Catalogs, Data Dictionaries, Business Glossaries, and Lineage is preferred
