Catalyx is seeking an Instructional Designer with PAS-X experience to join our team and work for our customer based in Cork on a 12-month contract.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new web based training for MES PAS-X 3.3 or higher or update current web based training based on PAS-X Version 3.1.8 using articulate storyline

  • Review and analyse current web based training and suggest improvements to our MES training material

  • Translate complex MES concepts (e.g., electronic batch records, recipes, master data, workflows) into clear, user-friendly instructional content SOPs, work instructions, job aids, e-learning modules

  • Collaborate with MES Engineers to gather subject matter expertise and ensure training content reflects current system design and GMP practices

  • Ensure all training deliverables are compliant with GxP, data integrity, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, Annex 11, GAMP 5)

  • Create role-based training curricula aligned to MES access levels and responsibilities (operators, reviewers, SMEs, engineers)

  • Utilize instructional design methodologies to assess training needs, design learning solutions, and evaluate training effectiveness

  • Develop digital learning content (e-learning modules, videos, interactive simulations)

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Life Sciences, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.

  • Proven experience developing training content for pharmaceutical or biotechnology manufacturing environments.

  • Hands-on experience with Werum PAS-X MES (Version 3.3 or higher preferred).

  • Strong experience using Articulate Storyline to develop interactive e-learning content.

  • Knowledge of MES concepts including Electronic Batch Records (EBRs), workflows, recipes, and master data management.

  • Understanding of GMP, GxP, Data Integrity, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, Annex 11, and GAMP 5 requirements.

  • Experience developing SOPs, work instructions, training curricula, and digital learning content.

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Experience creating role-based learning programmes within regulated environments is highly desirable.
