SUMMARY:
Stock shelves, racks, cases, bins, and tables with merchandise and arrange merchandise displays to attract customers. May periodically take physical count of stock or check and mark merchandise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
- Rotate products and ensure FIFO system is utilized.
- Inventories, stores, price according to store’s price list, and restocks merchandise displays in retail stores assigned, takes inventory for replenishment.
- Requisitions merchandise from supplier based on available space, merchandise on hand, customer demand, or advertised specials.
- Receives, opens, and unpacks cartons or crates of merchandise, checking invoice against items received.
- Stamps attached or change price tags on merchandise upon receipt of price list from store manager.
- Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.
- Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.
- Cleans display cases, shelves, products and aisles.
- Any other duties as may be assigned by management
REQUIRED MINIMUM EDUCATION:
Basic Qualifications:
- High school diploma or General Education Development (GED) or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s license preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1-2 previous experience in a retail environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment.
- Frequent use of hands, foot/feet to operate equipment.
- Frequent lifting and/or pulling up to 50 Ibs without restriction.
- Must be able to work in varying facility condition.
