POSITION OBJECTIVE
Membership Sales is responsible for driving Membership growth and retention at PGA National Members Club. This role focuses on maximizing Membership sales through New Member recruitment, referrals, and proactive retention efforts. Success is measured by achieving or exceeding Membership revenue goals through effective sales execution, relationship-building, and Member engagement.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Execute the Membership Department’s sales plan and achieve all sales goals and objectives in accordance with Club policies and procedures.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of qualified prosects to support Membership sale goals, utilizing Club’s CRM systemin accordance with established standards.
- Host and lead New Member Orientations to ensure a smooth and welcoming onboarding experience.
- Execute structured follow-up campaigns with New Members (30/60/90-day touchpoints) to enhance engagement and generate Member Referrals.
- Represent the Club at community events, organizations, and activities to increase brand awareness and develop Prospective Member relationships.
- Prepare for and participate in weekly sales meetings.
- Promote the Club by attending Member functions, sponsoring community events, and serving as an ambassador within the local community.
- Support and implement all company initiatives and programs as requested.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the General Manager and Senior Director of Membership.
- Adhere to all company, Club, and departmental policies, procedures, and standards of operation.
- Collaborate with team members across departments as needed to support overall Club operations and Member experience.

- Attend multiple Member events monthly to strengthen relationships

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred with 2-3 years of successful outbound sales experience; experience in hospitality, service, fundraising, or a related field strongly preferred.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Communications or Hotel and Restaurant Management preferred.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven sales ability with strong negotiation and closing skills.
- Knowledge of golf and private Club environments preferred.
- Formal sales training a plus.
- Strong technical proficiency, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and CRM systems.
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills with the ability to work independently.
- Exceptional customer service mindset with a focus on Member satisfaction.
- Strong interpersonal, leadership and relationship-building skills with the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Most work tasks are performed indoors. Temperature is moderate and controlled by property environmental systems.
- Must be able to sit at a desk for up to 5 hours a day. Walking and standing are required the rest of the working day. This includes traveling to and from meetings. The length of time of these tasks may vary from day to day and task to task.
- Must be able to exert well-paced ability to maneuver between functions occurring simultaneously.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally.
- Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity.
