Summary/objective

Responsible for generating new sales and memberships for the club, as well as managing member satisfaction and retention. 

  

Essential Functions

  • Meet or exceed established monthly sales goals 
  • Meet or exceed weekly call goals
  • Meet or exceed weekly self-generated outreach goals
  • Infiltrate the surrounding market, produce leads, schedule appointments, and tour prospective members
  • Successfully use and operate membership management software system
  • Generate and execute creative ideas to promote membership and programs
  • Systematically follow up with prospective members within the designated time frame
  • Maintain knowledge of club membership pricing and costs 
  • Maintain knowledge of club policies and procedures, particularly those related to membership sales 
  • Support and handle membership problems and changes; make decisions in consideration of the club's policies and procedures 
  • Establish and maintain relationships with members/guests to make all feel welcome
  • Proactively seek out and participate in opportunities to build a member base and promote club
  • Keep members informed of club events and activities and encourage participation

Requirements

Physical demands

  • Must be able to stand, move, walk, and bend for the duration of a shift
  • Must have ability and willingness to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Required competencies, education, and experience

  • High school diploma or GED required, college degree preferred
  • Prior professional sales experience in commission-based role preferred
  • Prior customer service experience highly desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Must be at least 18 years old

Company Expectations

  • Read, sign, and abide by the policies included in the Team Member Handbook
  • Park in team member designated areas
  • Club cleanliness is an all-team responsibility; assist whenever necessary in any area of the club to keep club neat and clean
  • Attend mandatory Personal Training meetings
  • Assist with Service Days, as assigned by Supervisor
  • Assist with club programs, special events, or activities, as assigned by Supervisor
  • Promptly respond to work-related correspondence
  • Exhibit a positive attitude at all times
  • Deliver outstanding service to members and guests, following acac’s Five*Star principles

Compensation:  $18.00/hour + commission
