The Membership and Operations Coordinator plays an integral role in supporting and guiding the nonprofit volunteers and members from our client organizations.

What You Will Do:
- Build and sustain strong client relations through attentive detail in handling membership requests and volunteer interaction
- Serve as the primary staff liaison to select committees and task forces, providing strategic administrative and project management support to drive committee initiatives, facilitate volunteer engagement, and ensure the successful achievement of goals and deliverables
- Coordinate and support the administration of member surveys and data collection efforts, including survey development, distribution, reporting, and analysis
- Support advocacy, policy, and professional practice initiatives by monitoring relevant issues and contributing to projects that advance NSGC’s priorities
- Manage and oversee the awards recognition and mentorship programs, from application administration through recipient recognition
- Manage and coordinate the work of volunteers, vendors, consultants, and other stakeholders to achieve operational objectives and strategic priorities
- Provide administrative and project support to the client and staff team, including database maintenance and reporting
- Maintain and update association websites and online resources with current information related to programs, committees, member resources, and strategic initiatives
- Assist with the preparation of board and committee meetings

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year institution
- 3-5 years of relevant professional experience, to include project or program management experience
- Proficiency with basic computer programming, including the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- You have the ability to travel 5%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in a nonprofit and/or association environment
- Experience working in a cross-functional environment

Smithbucklin is a hybrid work environment with in-office days established as Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Employees will work a standard 40-hour week, with the possibility of additional hours based on project deadlines.
Smithbucklin considers several factors when determining compensation, including a candidate's recent coursework, training, experience, and certifications, among other considerations. The expected pay for this role is $59,000-$63,000.
