As a key member of our team, the Membership Engagement Director will play a vital role in fostering membership and community engagement at the YMCA. In this position, you will oversee all aspects of membership engagement, ensuring an exceptional member experience, driving recruitment, and promoting community involvement. You will work closely with your team and local Y facilities to help fulfill our mission of healthy living, social responsibility, and youth development.
As the Membership Engagement Director, you will lead all aspects of membership and community engagement efforts. You will manage a frontline member services team, provide strategic planning support, and serve as a primary liaison to our members. This position is highly visible within the community, where you will champion the YMCA’s services and strengthen community relationships.
Key Responsibilities:Frontline Staff Management:- Lead and support a team of welcome center staff, providing guidance, training, and feedback.
- Maintain a consistent Welcome Center schedule that prioritizes customer service during peak times.
- Foster a collaborative and positive team environment aligned with the YMCA’s values and culture.
- Drive member recruitment through various strategies, including lead cultivation, local marketing campaigns, and community partnerships.
- Organize social events and programs to engage and retain current members, enhancing member experience and participation.
- Develop strategies for increasing membership retention through personalized engagement, outreach, and high-quality customer service.
- Collaborate with the association membership team to implement a comprehensive strategy for growth and community impact.
- Accurately input and manage membership data, ensuring integrity and security.
- Track member progress and provide data-driven insights to guide strategies for recruitment and retention.
- Generate reports on key membership metrics, identifying trends and adjusting strategies to meet monthly goals.
- Build strong relationships with team leaders, staff, and community stakeholders to promote the YMCA’s mission.
- Develop partnerships with local organizations, businesses, and government entities to advance the YMCA’s impact.
- Represent the YMCA as a community leader, advocating for its values and creating collaborative opportunities.
