The Membership Associate’s primary responsibility is to greet and welcome all who visit the YMCA. The Membership Associates build the Y community by providing accurate information and connecting members and non-members with one another, staff members, programs, and resources that will help them to accomplish their goals.

What You’ll Do
- Oversee the safety and whereabouts of the children in the group at all times, providing a safe, interactive program.
- Maintain a clean and risk-free room arrangement.
- Maintain records, including, (but not limited to): accident and incident reports, sign in/out
- sheets, attendance records.
- Greet parents and children daily using names in all interactions.
- Report and/or direct parental concerns to supervisor.
- Use positive, age-appropriate behavior management tools, including redirection and positive reinforcement, using the Y voice at all times.
- Ensure compliance with all YGBW policies and standard operating procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
What You'll Need
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Must be at least 15 years of age or older
- Experience with children preferred
- Obtain and maintain all additional new hire certifications and trainings within 90 days of hire
