Job Purpose

  • Conduct Start-up and troubleshooting of Rockwell Automation Medium Voltage & 3rd Party components on customer locations.
  • Scope of supply may contain products from the Medium Voltage Business (MVB) and Low Voltage drives along with 3rd party products. (like Motor Protection Relays, Switchgears etc)
  • Accurately complete commissioning/service documentation after every project and submit to relevant stakeholder.
  • Complete all on-site Project administration such as commissioning guidelines, reports & drawings.
  • When available in the office, works on AutoCAD Electrical drawings updates received from sites and customers.

KEY COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS

Skills, Knowledge, Experience, Education (SKEE)

  • Conduct Start Up of the Rockwell Automation Medium Voltage products & 3rd party components as part of projects on customer locations. This contains, but is not limited to AC Drives, Soft starters, Switchgear & Controllers.
  • Provide Emergency break down support, repair and on site analysis on the Medium Voltage products.
  • Provide Technical Support to customers and colleagues worldwide.
  • Participate in the on-call support mechanism as part of the MV Support Rota. 
  • Perform Preventative Maintenance activities on the Rockwell Automation products.
  • Lead the on-site Start Up Project Management and liaise with the Project Manager(s).  
  • Support the Project Manager(s) and Proposal Engineer(s) with quotes for spares and services.
  • Complete all on-site Project administration such as commissioning guidelines, reports & drawings.
  • Conduct formal and informal training.
  • Accurately complete commissioning/service documentation after every project and submit to relevant stakeholder
  • Communicate intelligence from site (e.g BOT hours consumption, schedule impact, contractual matters, new business opportunities)
  • Use IFS to book billable hours daily.
  • Promote the Rockwell Automation services portfolio.
  • After returning from Site, work on AutoCAD Electricals for updating the As-Commissioned drawings and markup received from field services group.

Accepts Roles Requirements:

  • Available for frequent travel (Indian / Overseas) to site on short notice period.

  • Complete engagement with all project stakeholders including Customers, Engineers, Production, 3rd party vendors, and Management
  • Lead continuous improvement projects

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum Five years of experience in similar position.
  • Low/Medium Voltage Drives background.
  • Good Interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of the industrial automation product range and applications.
  • Excellent fault-finding skills
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of products and applications
  • Ability to work independently

Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience working with global teams
  • Experience working in a matrix environment
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation (Allen-Bradley) products
  • Background of utilizing Lean Six Sigma
