Electrical Product & Application Engineer

Your contribution to Prysmian's Success:

We are looking for a Electrical Product & Application Engineer who join the Network Components Business Unit in Milan, focusing on Medium Voltage (MV) Cable Accessories products.

Job responsibilities

• Contribute to product modularity and standardization across engineering designs.

• Manage and maintain product codes, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and related documentation.

• Control and optimize product costs, supporting cost-reduction initiatives.

• Support product strategy and the development of customer-facing features.

• Lead phase-in/phase-out activities for product codes and ensure smooth transitions.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Management, Operations, and other departments to align engineering activities with business goals, as well as product development teams to design or adapt solutions.

• Utilize CAD tools for design and documentation, as well as SAP for product data management and process integration.

• Support and monitor activities in the manufacturing plant, gaining understanding of production processes to ensure product feasibility and quality.

You are the right fit if you have/are: 

• Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

• Fluency in English.

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or product development environment within structured organizations.

• Experience in technical design, product coding, and product lifecycle management.

• Familiarity with CAD tools and SAP.

• Previous experience in laboratory activities, testing, and prototyping is considered a plus.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage diverse technical challenges.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Availability to travel frequently, especially during the initial onboarding period

• Job Level/Category: in line with the applicable collective agreement

• Gross annual salary no less than: 38.000

• The position is eligible for an individual or collective variable incentive based on the achievement of predetermined performance objectives.
