THE ROLE
Provide Consulting services to clients on healthcare-enabling technology-related projects in a project management, analyst, subject matter expert, or training capacity, specifically with clients using the MEDITECH Health Information System. Working within the Implementation and Support team to enable business development opportunities, support solution development, and provide exceptional on-site solution delivery based upon the needs of Nordic Europe clients.
KEY RESPONSIBLITIES
The Consultant will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Apply technical expertise to individual client system build to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems.
Apply consulting expertise to lead and guide healthcare enabling technology projects including but not limited to system design, build, test, training, implementation, project governance and change management.
Tracking and documenting risks and issues.
Analyzing and documenting workflows.
Working closely with project leadership, including documentation and facilitation.
Working closely with health system end-users; monitoring workflows, providing documentation, and optimisation suggestions.
Assist with meetings regarding project status and on-going work-product coordination.
Working with the Nordic Europe Team on supporting business development activities, which may include identification of additional client opportunities, onsite presentations, and supporting proposal creation.
Additional specific duties related to the project as may be required and dictated by individual clients. These duties are documented on a per-contract basis in the client’s Statement of work.
May be invited to attend corporate functions as a representative of the company to meet prospective consultants, as well as solidify relationships with client and Nordic Europe co-workers.
Working/leading Nordic Europe projects that may be assigned on an ad hoc basis and may assist other corporate initiatives as necessary, directed, assigned, or requested.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum 5 years in a healthcare setting with front-line, hands-on experience particularly in informatics, using the MEDITECH Health Information System.
University degree or relevant experience in Information Technology/Systems, health related field or equivalent, Project Management experience preferred:
PMP, ITIL or another Health Informatics Certificate an asset.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal; Very high degree of professionalism.
Highly organised, able to multi-task as well as maintain intense focus on individual tasks.
Self-starter with ability to maintain schedule, meet deadlines, and monitor one’s own work product.
Highly adaptable; able to acclimate quickly to new project assignments.
Work successfully with different teams and co-workers.
Ability to adhere to client workplace rules and regulations.
Varying travel and living arrangements due to project location changes.
Aptitude for mentoring and guiding others.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS
Work will primarily be performed remotely, with up to 50% travel to client sites.
Position works a non-traditional schedule; work may be needed on weekends or evenings.
Assignment that requires on-site attendance, locations are not located in the city in which the consultant lives; this normally requires staying in hotels or other lodgings.
Position may require extensive travel via various modes of transportation. (Plane, Train etc.)
Some work assignments may require longer work hours, different or additional days, or on-call on a varying schedule not determined by Nordic Europe.
Consultant assignments may necessitate travel outside of scheduled work hours (e.g. flying on weekends or evenings). There may also be the possibility of travel interruptions which may affect the Consultant.
Must be available for calls, emails, and consults regularly and outside of scheduled work hours to support the client and communicate with home office as necessary. This involves checking email, or voicemail on a regular basis throughout the day to respond to client or Nordic Europe matters.
If a go-live occurs while on a project with a client, extensive hours will more than likely be required. While go-live events do not occur on every project or with high frequency, if a consultant accepts a project that requires go-live participation, they will be expected to meet the time requirements of the assignment. Must be able to unequivocally commit to working nights and weekends, be on-call, and immediately responsive to client needs during the event.
