Our team of hundreds of skilled experts keep Formula 1 moving. You could play a vital part as a Media Systems Engineer based in Biggin Hill and providing crucial support to our Television Engineering team to ensure the smooth running of F1’s events!
Reporting into the Media Systems Engineering Manager, you will:

Install, commission and maintain media production systems and workflows, CAR facilities, and remote operations equipment at the Media & Technology Centre in Biggin Hill

Install, commission and maintain media production and post-production systems in the Trackside Broadcast Centre
-
Provide engineering support for all M&TC media systems and workflows during live race events and during everyday operation
-
Travel to Grand Prix events to support media production and post-production workflows, and to facilitate contribution feeds between circuit and M&TC
-
Keep abreast of developments in broadcast, digital and post-production media technologies and consider how these may be incorporated into future solutions

Assist in preparing costings for upgrades and projects

Produce reports as required by TV Engineering Group management

Operate safely at all times in line with Company health and safety requirements.

Undertake other duties within your capabilities as your manager may assign to you from time to time.
Specification Essentials:
-
HND or equivalent in Broadcast/Media/IT or equivalent industry experience
-
Experience in supporting Media IT systems within a broadcast environment
-
Operational experience of IP-based infrastructure for media storage and contribution
-
Operational experience of Video Servers for archive and replay
-
Familiarity with streaming Video and Audio across local and wide area networks
-
A high degree of computer literacy across Windows, Linux and OS X
-
Solid understanding of IT Networking principles
-
Able to multitask & work under pressure
-
Flexibility in approach to work and strong attention to detail/seeing the bigger picture
-
Ability to work unsupervised and as part of a team
-
Excellent communication skills and time management
-
EU driving license
-
Ability to travel
