The Role
About the role:
HLK is growing, and we are looking for a Media Strategist to join our team. The Media Strategist serves a critical role in driving media and marketing, researching, planning, stewarding and reporting on our assigned book of work. We are looking for someone who can work onsite at either our St. Louis or Chicago office. 

Responsibilities

  • Works with internal and external partners to develop paid media plans
  • Translates campaign objectives into channel and tactic strategy
  • Collaborates with planning and creative teams to plan effective executions
  • Serves as the main media contact with clients on assigned accounts
  • Manages all elements of assigned media efforts from start to finish
  • Creates, presents and sells through media recommendations to clients at varying levels
  • Researches and vets media vendors as well as negotiates media proposals as needed
  • Works closely with activation team to ensure buys are implemented correctly
  • Monitors performance and makes necessary optimizations throughout the life of a campaign in coordination with activation team
  • Consistently strives to find new, innovative and unique media strategies and tactics that break through clutter and deliver significant return on investment

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2+ years of media planning/strategy experience with specific deep experience in planning and understanding of digital and traditional channels
  • Ability to strategically assess opportunities quickly and make data-driven decisions resulting in tangible improvements in performance
  • Experience presenting to clients and internal teams
  • Flexibility and ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • A strong communicator with effective writing and presenting skills, a positive attitude, and a strong desire to get things done
  • Experience with DSPs, Social Ads Platforms, Google Campaign Management
  • Familiar with GA4 and/or monitoring analytics platforms
  • Ability to be both strategic and creative
  • Must have strong attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Experience in Agriculture or Finance a plus
