The Media Specialist (Paid Search/Programmatic/Video/Audio/Social) position is an upper level buying position in which the candidate has experience in all media buying areas, specifically in paid search. This high-profile role has responsibility for creating and maintaining structure for all media teams within this private equity-backed marketing and technology organization.

She/He will report to the Director, Media Buying & will work closely with onboarding, implementation, and delivery team stakeholders to maximize growth opportunities. The main objective(s) will be to efficiently activate media at scale across multiple media channels and tactics, while maintaining a high-level of task management along the way.

This role requires a strategic and results-driven approach, as well as excellent communication, networking, and sales skills. They will apply their relationship skills and marketing acumen to help the company achieve growth goals and acquire prestigious new brands to add to the world-class client roster of Ansira.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Oversee the execution and optimization of media campaigns based on strategist plans and client objectives
  • Ensure campaign performance aligns with client KPIs, proactively identifying and implementing optimization strategies
  • Collaborate with media partners to recommend campaign enhancements, explore beta opportunities, and secure added-value media
  • Work closely with analytics teams to validate conversion tracking implementation and maintain data integrity
  • Partner with strategists and the Insights team to shape media recommendations, providing insight and possible optimizations, based on changing business goals and market conditions
  • Vet new media platforms and partner recommendations to ensure strategic fit and performance potential
  • Provide campaign performance insights and recommendations at the request of the account team
  • Delegate appropriate tasks from media strategists to analysts, providing oversight, guidance, and quality control to ensure accuracy and alignment with campaign objectives.
  • Be a strong leader focused on growth, collaborating across agency departments to ensure proposals meet client needs and are aligned with capabilities to drive revenue
  • Continue to identify and implement process improvements that align with the ever-changing digital landscape

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn new service and technology solutions and turn these into winning strategies to increase media revenue
  • Experience in managing media successful in growing spend and improving performance with Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, Meta Ads, The TradeDesk, StackAdapt, Simpli.fi, and more
  • Demonstrated knowledge of marketing, technology, and channel industry trends, the buyer needs, and business structure
  • Able to report to senior leadership in a concise and impactful manner
  • Strong verbal and written communications, including negotiation skills
  • Occasional travel may be required 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, event management, business, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5+ years of account management, experiential marketing, event coordination, or agency experience.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Experience in paid search and programmatic buying across search, video, audio, and social channels
  • Proven ability to validate conversion tracking implementation and maintain data integrity with analytics teams
  • Strong verbal and written communication, negotiation, and leadership skills; able to report to senior leadership
  • Strategic, results-driven approach with ability to grow media revenue and acquire new clients
  • Aptitude to learn new service and technology solutions and apply them to media strategies
