What You’ll Do:
- Generate revenue across WBAL-TV’s platforms (TV, digital, streaming, and web)
- Prospect, contact and present to new businesses
- Develop new revenue through local business development, non-traditional business
- Form strategic and market partnerships with local businesses and national advertisers
- Sell high-profile programming like Sunday Night Football, The Olympics, and major sports franchises
- Manage and grow active account/client portfolio
- Conceptualize, create, and deliver sales proposals that are consistent with station strategies, including customized, research-driven presentations
- Achieve individual sales goals while contributing to WBAL-TV’s dynamic sales team
What We’re Looking for:
- 3+ years of media sales experience preferred (TV, radio, digital, or related industry)
- Proven ability to develop new business and sell to local business owners
- Experience with the development of new business/non-traditional business
- Strong negotiation skills and consultative sales approach
- Experience in a consultative customer-focused business atmosphere
- Accountability within a goal-structured organization; experience in a goal-driven, competitive environment
- Understand and use qualitative research to further sales effort; ability to analyze market research and position clients for success
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with sales software (Wide Orbit, Wide Orbit Media Sales, or similar programs a plus)

- Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
- Related military experience will be considered
