Responsibilities And Duties:

1. Project Coordination: Assists management and other staff in completion of various projects and long term assignments.2. Information Gathering: Provides assistance to staff by gathering pertinent information to complete a project or task assigned. Information is gathered from internal and external sources such as the Internet. Responsible for compiling information gathered into a presentation format.3. Provides other assistance and completes assignments specific to department as directed by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)

Additional Job Description:

+ Junior or senior-level college student pursuing a degree in journalism or communications. Graduate level or postgraduate level applicants will not be considered.

+ Strong organizational skills, as well as excellent written and oral communication skills.

+ Ability to multitask and work independently as well as part of a team.

+ Professional and flexible self-starter and self-motivator, as this will be a hybrid position working both from home and in the office.

+ Previous internship experience is preferred, but not required.

+ Familiarity with AP style.

+ Familiarity with videography and editing a plus.

JOB SPECIFICS

+ Paid ($16/hour) for a one-year commitment, with a 90-day review to ensure the internship is a good fit. Summer-only internships are not offered.

+ Hours per week depend on the position and job site, but typically are 20 hours/week during the school year and up to 40 hours/week during the summer.

+ Some travel may be required, so reliable access to a vehicle is mandatory.

+ Dress when on-site is business casual.

+ Some after-hours event support may be needed.
