Job Description
The Media Planner is responsible for creating digital media plans to meet Electrolux’s marketing and sales goals and ensuring accurate implementation with our in-house media team. This role will direct and support digital media buying and optimizations across multiple brands to efficiently drive business objectives including awareness, consideration and sales. This role supports multiple cross-functional teams and should be able to make recommendations based on the needs of each team. The Media Planner must be able to analyze media results and draw insights that can improve media performance. The ideal candidate works well within a team environment and is able to prioritize workflow while maintaining work quality. The Media Planner must stay current on new media opportunities and know how to effectively test performance and effectiveness.
Core responsibilities include:
- Work with internal teams to understand marketing goals and create media plans to achieve these
- Analyze and understand target audience characteristics and media preferences/attitudes
- Work with internal graphics and brand teams to ensure creative assets are available and can meet media performance goals
- Use research data, marketing mix models and previous campaign results to identify the best mix of media channels to deliver advertising messages to target audiences
- Understand and recommend all forms of media (TV, video, digital, social, paid search) and work with vendors to find best pricing and added value
- Work with in-house media team to implement and optimize media buys, provide regular performance reports and participate in post-buy analysis
- Maintain campaign calendars, status documents and media buy calendars that can be referenced by internal teams.
- Monitor buys in progress by spot checking placements, request credit or billing adjustments as necessary and ensure spend aligns with plans
- Stay abreast of current trends and technological advancements that are relevant to Electrolux

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in media and/or digital media field
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or a related field.
- Computer literacy to include proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint. Experience with Word, Outlook and Teams also preferred.
- Prefer experience with at least one of: Google Marketing Platform, Meta and/or Pinterest.
