Job Mission: 

We are seeking an experienced, goal-driven and highly organised Media Manager to develop the implementation and execution of integrated media campaigns for Chanel Fragrances and Beauty, Watches and Fine Jewellery and Fashion. 

 

This role provides strategic leadership with strong media insights to curate sophisticated media strategies that resonate with discerning luxury consumers while leading a media agency team in campaign execution and optimizations. 

 

This individual must possess a sophisticated understanding of luxury consumer behaviour, implement data-driven decision-making, and be able to excel in a fast-paced environment with multiple overlapping workstreams. 

 

This role will be responsible for Singapore, Indonesia & Philippines. 

Job Purpose & Key Responsibilities: 

Provide strategic leadership in media insights, lead and leverage the media agency to deliver recommendations across: 

  • Luxury market trends and opportunities and competitive landscape 

  • Consumer behaviour and audience target analysis and understanding 

  • Strategic media assessments, media thresholds and performance benchmarks 

  • Online and offline media direction 

 

Media Agency Leadership and Performance  

  • Define clear objectives and scope of work for the Media agency. 

  • Lead and guide the Media agency to build and solidify a true, trusted partnership. 

  • Inspire and motivate Media agency to develop clear brand understanding and execute robust negotiation strategies to deliver excellence in media planning and buying. 

  • Drive, oversee and evaluate media agency performance including bonus assessments. 

  • Ensure Media agency resourcing and structure are adequate to execute strategies and propose alternative recommendations with expected needs of the business. 

  • Challenge, clarify, and refine Media agency proposals and proactively resolve day-to-day media buying issues in collaboration with the Media agency. 

  • Oversee competitive media spend analyses provided by the Media Agency, ensuring key competitor insights are accurately captured and shared. 

 

 

Media Strategy Excellence 

  • Collaborate with regional and global teams to ensure alignment to brand and divisional policies while maintaining strong local market relevance. 

  • Collaborate closely with PR, CRM and relevant function expertise teams to ensure integrated media strategies that are in synergy with total brand communications ensuring cohesive and holistic brand storytelling. 

  • Maintain regular and constructive dialogue with business general managers and marketing to review strategic proposals, address broader communication issues and align on solutions. 

  • Gatekeep and harmonise a one house communication strategy to target audiences with focused impact throughout the year with a harmonized calendar. 

  • Safeguard and elevate the brand’s unique positioning while developing future-ready media capabilities. 

  • Conduct and leverage market analysis and consumer insights research to inform media investment decisions  to drive brand leadership and business objectives. 

  • Ensure media investments are optimised through omni-channel calibrations to drive top-of-mind awareness and ignite desire through the creative use and mix of relevant media channels. 

  • Identify and evaluate new and emerging media opportunities to strengthen brand presence and engagement relevant to target audience. 

  • Oversee end-to-end execution of media campaigns across all channels. 

  • Build, manage and maintain relationships with key media suppliers providing clear direction, mutual accountability, and open communication to ensure premium quality execution and maximise ROI and investment efficiency. 

 

Data Driven Insights and Performance Measurement 

  • Create and manage annual media plans with clear and measurable KPIs and performance targets, budget allocations, and success metrics in sync with brand and business objectives. 

  • Regularly measure, analyze and report media effectiveness and audience engagement to drive and ensure continuous improvement and investment efficiency. 

  • Collaborate with PR & marketing to present regular and integrated insights and recommendations to stakeholders with actionable next steps. 

  • Drive effective test and learn, champion and apply best practices across divisions and export markets sharing successful case studies to strengthen learning, efficiency and impact. 

  • Manage external media benchmarking through independent audit partners to ensure transparency and accountability.

Required Competencies 

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Media, Advertising, Marketing or related fields  

  • Expertise in integrated media and communication planning across online and offline channels preferably with experience in luxury/lifestyle industries 

  • Experience in tailoring campaigns to affluent and high-net-worth audiences 

  • Proficient in managing and optimizing campaigns on Meta, Goodle, Youtube, Display/ Programmatic, good understanding of SEO/ SEM, retargeting and audience segmentation 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English 

  • Passionate and appreciation for luxury, fragrances and beauty, watches, jewellery, fashion craftsmanship, brand heritage, storytelling
