The Media Finance & Gift Processing Coordinator supports all day-to-day financial operations of the Met’s media programs and donor gift processing. This role reports to the Director of Media Finance & Gift Processing and is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, ensuring accuracy, and collaborating across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Primary Responsibilities
- Process all Media transactions, including billings and cash receipts, invoices and cash expenditures, and journal entries in a timely manner
- Review media contracts and agreements to validate billing and terms
- Support ticket sales data collection from international and domestic distribution partners for The Met: Live in HD
- Support weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting on media program revenues and expenses
- Aid in assembling accurate and timely royalty and publishing statements
- Support year-end revenue sharing process, gathering supporting documents and auditing data and calculations for accuracy
- Coordinate with other members of Finance on matters including but not limited to media forecasts, projections, reporting, monthly and year-end closes, etc.
- Process donor gift transactions in Tessitura, ensuring accurate recording according to restriction and recognition requirements
- Partner with Development to ensure accurate and timely reporting on contributions
- Identify and implement process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiency
Skills and Qualifications
- College dress, major in accounting or finance preferred
- 1-3 years of experience in finance, accounting, revenue operations, or gift processing
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups/formulas)
- Working knowledge of VBA macros and Access a plus
- Experience with CRM software and/or Tessitura a plus
- High attention to detail with strong organization skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset
