Media & Communication trainee
ICF Next is one of Europe’s leading integrated communication agencies, specialising in large-scale campaigns for institutional clients across the European Union.
We are looking for a Media & Communication trainee to join our Brussels team. In this role, you will support senior colleagues on projects in PR, social media, influencer marketing and advertising. This internship is designed to give you practical experience and help you build foundational skills across these domains.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with the delivery of communication campaigns, working alongside experienced professionals in PR, social media, influencer marketing and advertising.
- Supporting the creation and scheduling of content for social media and PR activities.
- Mapping, pitching and reaching out to media outlets, podcasters, stakeholder organisations and influencers within the framework of European projects/campaigns (mostly in English but any additional languages is an asset).
- Providing support to the handling and coordination of our network of local PR agencies implementing projects at a local level.
- Helping to monitor media coverage and social media engagement via dedicated monitoring tools and manual desk research.
- Data collection, analysis and presentation of results in dedicated reports and presentations.
- Handling community management on multiple social media platforms.
- Participating in team meetings and brainstorming sessions.
- Assisting with media and influencers activations and providing support during live campaign activities.
- Handling day-to-day administrative tasks to support the team.
We are looking for someone with:
- Interest in media, communications and digital marketing, with a willingness to learn and grow in these areas.
- Curiosity about European institutions and their communication activities.
- Good storytelling and pitching skills. Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, combined with a proactive and solution-oriented attitude.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and other Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work well in a team environment and support colleagues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (any other language will be considered an asset, especially French, Dutch or German)
- Residency in Belgium.
