Position Summary:
• Build, support, and iterate on prototypes and pre-production units—assembling, diagnosing issues, and
driving improvements.
• Plan and execute functional testing and validation (mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration-related as
applicable) to confirm performance and reliability.
• Troubleshoot issues across hardware, wiring, sensors, motors, mechanisms, and controls—performing
root-cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
• Partner with manufacturing, suppliers, and service teams to resolve build issues, improve quality, and
support production schedules.
Specific Job Duties:
• Support new and existing products through prototype builds, validation, and production readiness—
owning issue resolution from discovery to closure.
• Assemble, evaluate, and refine electromechanical systems and subassemblies, working hands-on to
improve function, durability, and serviceability.
• Develop test plans, collect and analyze data, and document results (findings, recommendations, and
corrective actions) to support engineering decisions.
• Troubleshoot product and process issues using structured root-cause methods; coordinate fixes with
engineering, manufacturing, and suppliers.
Skills/Experience/Education Requirements (must complete)
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering preferred;
comparable technical degree or equivalent hands-on experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of 3D CAD and drawings (enough to review, communicate changes, and support
documentation).
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities, frequent collaboration, and
aggressive development/production schedules.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at the same
time.
• Comfort working in areas where requirements are evolving and engineering precedents may be limited—
using sound judgment to define a path forward.
• Ability to diagnose and interpret basic mechanical and electrical systems (wiring, sensors, motors,
mechanisms, etc.) using hands-on troubleshooting and sound judgment.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the ability to apply engineering theory to real-world
manufacturing and product challenges.
• Self-directed work style with the judgment to escalate questions and seek guidance when needed.
