Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Responsibilities
  • Design subsystems for precision-motion platforms used in wafer inspection machines.
  • Complete design process including requirements, scheduling, design, analysis, prototype testing, and release.
  • Conduct various analyses and simulations, such as dynamics, vibration, FEA and control design using Matlab/Simulink/python to predict product performances before parts manufacturing.
  • Deep knowledge of linear control, observers, and feed forward technics
  • Experience with controlling Linear motion XY systems.
  • DSP programming skills are advantage.
  • Drive system integration, prototype testing, and handoff to manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups such as Systems Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers to ensure seamless integration at the system level.
  • During prototype testing, be the lead in servo control, Firmware, and SW Engineers to resolve any issues and optimize performance.
Qualifications
  • Motion control and servo systems design
  • Signal processing and analysis using Matlab and Python
  • Experience in simulations and system dynamics (Simulink)
  • Experience in vibration analysis and accelerometers.
  • Design experience of positioning systems
  • Implementation of high-resolution feedback sensors
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and mechanical design.
  • Background in semiconductor is advantage.
  • Good communication and presentation skills
  • Experience with writing requirements and test plans
  • Ownership and leadership skills

Minimum Qualifications

Phd degree with at least three years' experience; Master's degree with at least six years' experience; Bachelor's degree with at least eight years' experience

Base Pay Range: $134,800.00 - $229,200.00 Annually

Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA
