Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Specialist to oversee the evaluation, repair, and quoting of gearboxes and pumps. This role serves as a technical authority supporting sales, service, and customers with accurate diagnostics, repair recommendations, and cost-effective solutions.

  

Key Responsibilities

  • Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate gearboxes and pumps for repair or replacement
  • Develop detailed repair scopes and cost estimates
  • Prepare accurate quotes for repairs, replacements, and upgrades
  • Coordinate with shop technicians to ensure repair quality and scope compliance
  • Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and internal teams
  • Recommend reliability improvements and upgrade opportunities
  • Support sales and customer service with technical expertise
  • Maintain documentation for inspections, repairs, and quotes
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards

compensation is determined based on knowledge, skill, and ability. This position offers compensation in the range of $60,000-$100,000 annually.

Requirements

  

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience with gearboxes, pumps, or rotating mechanical equipment
  • Strong understanding of mechanical power transmission and pump systems
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical manuals
  • Experience developing repair scopes and quotations
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset
  • Valid Driver's License

Preferred Experience

  • Industrial repair environment
  • Root cause failure analysis
  • Reliability or maintenance background
  • ERP or quoting systems experience

Skills Required
