Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Specialist to oversee the evaluation, repair, and quoting of gearboxes and pumps. This role serves as a technical authority supporting sales, service, and customers with accurate diagnostics, repair recommendations, and cost-effective solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate gearboxes and pumps for repair or replacement
- Develop detailed repair scopes and cost estimates
- Prepare accurate quotes for repairs, replacements, and upgrades
- Coordinate with shop technicians to ensure repair quality and scope compliance
- Communicate technical findings clearly to customers and internal teams
- Recommend reliability improvements and upgrade opportunities
- Support sales and customer service with technical expertise
- Maintain documentation for inspections, repairs, and quotes
- Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and company standards
What We Offer
- Competitive base salary plus commission/bonus plan
compensation is determined based on knowledge, skill, and ability. This position offers compensation in the range of $60,000-$100,000 annually.

Requirements
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with gearboxes, pumps, or rotating mechanical equipment
- Strong understanding of mechanical power transmission and pump systems
- Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and technical manuals
- Experience developing repair scopes and quotations
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer-focused mindset
- Valid Driver's License
Preferred Experience
- Industrial repair environment
- Root cause failure analysis
- Reliability or maintenance background
- ERP or quoting systems experience
Skills Required
