The role supports the Lead Mechanical Engineer in ensuring that mechanical systems are installed safely, correctly, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, inspection and test plans, material approvals, and project requirements.
For the DSCO program, this role is important because mechanical systems, especially cooling infrastructure, directly affect data center capacity, reliability, commissioning readiness, and operational continuity. SJ’s proposal emphasizes that cooling is capacity, reliability, maintainability, and spatial coordination issue, requiring close coordination with power, fire protection, structural systems, plantroom space, service yards, shafts, corridors, and roof zones.

Skills Required
- Perform verification, issue identification, and reporting for mechanical works on-site
- Ensure installations comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and inspection/test plans
