The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $56,250-82,500 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will do in This Role:
Supports simple and complex designs of parts and sub-system of complex machines. This includes design of machined, extruded, sheet metal and plastic parts.
Design and modeling of parts, product testing, and problem solving of designs/machines.
Participates in the design process from development, component test, sub-system integration, prototype machine builds and test, validation, and support of product release.
Prototype machine assembly may require lifting of up to fifty pounds and standing for up to eight hours per day.
Assists in determining the best method of testing, may assist in testing, understanding testing results as related to the product performance.
Assists in on-site product validation, ensuring products perform to the intended manner.
Must be able to work in a team atmosphere both internal and external departments. This will include design reviews, team collaboration on designs and problems, and other project work.
What We are Looking For:
BS in Mechanical Engineering or advanced degree. Certification may be required in some areas.
Typically, 2-5 years of successful experience in related field
Experience in the material handling industry is a plus.
Experience with Machine Design.
Experience with solid modeling (Unigraphics NX is preferred).
Excellent analytical skills.
Applications system experience preferred.
Strong mechatronics abilities.
Experience in an Agile Development environment is a plus.
