Mechanical Engineering Intern

We are seeking a motivated and responsible Wonderful Scholar for full time 8-week internship. In this position, you will gain hands on professional experience and learn how the department runs. This position is located at Eastide in Shafter, CA.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in electrical design which consists of thermo graphic surveys and equipment classification.
• Assist in project design which consists of arc flash analysis project/calculations.
• AutoCAD Design
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to project planning.
• Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Participate in conducting Job Hazard Analysis to identify and mitigate workplace risks.
• Support troubleshooting, problem-solving, and process improvement initiatives.
• Shadow employees in the maintenance department to gain hands-on exposure to equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance procedures, troubleshooting techniques, and reliability practices.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Must be Wonderful Scholar in junior or senior year of college
• Must be 18 years of age
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills•Self-directed and able to work autonomously
• Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
• Enrolled in accredited undergraduate or graduate degree program with studies focused in Agmechanics, Engineering, Operations or a related field
• Passion for agriculture industry
• Bil-lingual: English and Spanish

- Pay rate: $18.50/hour.
