This position will support the engineering team with activities such as calculations, drawings, design reviews, conducting lab tests, regression analysis, and automation.
The Intern will be responsible for:
- Create pressure vessel calculations using ASME codes.
- Develop drawings, BOMs and design reviews for particular tasks.
- Work with the engineering labs to schedule and run tests.
- Create templates, run regression analysis to develop predictability in shear pressures.
- Work with engineering lab to automate tests.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Intern also will learn about the following:
- Design of pressure vessels using ASME codes.
- Real life testing on equipment.
- Automation.
Skills/Requirements
- Currently enrolled and working toward completion of Bachelor or Graduate degree from an accredited university or college with Mechanical Engineering majors preferred.
- Minimum GPA of 3.0.
- Good interpersonal skills to drive collaboration across multiple functions to achieve desired results.
- Ability to work independently or within a larger team as required by the project and subsystem.
- Familiarity with Microsoft office products, i.e., Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong verbal and written communication.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
