The Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, commissioning, implementing and improving mechanical systems and products in the food processing industry while ensuring compliance with quality, safety, and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop mechanical components, systems, and equipment. 
  • Create and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation. 
  • Perform calculations, simulations, and feasibility studies. 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and project management. 
  • Support product development from concept through production. 
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry codes, standards, and regulations. 
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize performance and reduce costs. 
  • Work with team member from various aspects of the business.
  • Ability to travel to various company locations

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 
  • Professional Engineer (P.Eng./PE) designation or eligibility is preferred. 
  • 3–5+ years of relevant engineering experience. 
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Draftsight-2D ). 
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. 
  • Experience with manufacturing processes, product design, and testing methodologies is an asset. 
  • Knowledge of engineering standards and safety regulations. 
  • Organized structured approach to managing projects within manufacturing setting.
  • Ability to take projects from conceptual design to implementation.

Preferred Skills:

  • Project management experience. 
  • Experience with HVAC, industrial equipment, food processing equipment.
