The global motor marketplace is $100B annually and C-Motive is poised to become a significant player in the coming few years. No one else in the world is developing electrostatic machines and our goal is to become the reference motor technology for a new generation of products.
Mechanical Engineer:
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for improving and supporting existing products, driving cost-out initiatives, and providing engineering support to other functions within the company and external customers. This role reports to the VP of Engineering.
What you will do:
- Collaborate with engineering team to establish short- and long-term goals in line with company’s objectives.
- Direct the creation of engineering documentation of products while establishing and/or improving design standards with focus on DFM.
- Drive the development process in connection to company’s product roadmap.
- Support R&D activities by providing mechanical engineering support to R&D projects.
- Sustain a continuous improvement to reduce product cost and improve product quality.
- Ensure critical product design information is secure while readily available to users.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited four-year college or university (required).
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience in mechanical engineering developing and designing electro-mechanical products, preferably electric motors or other rotating components with strong emphasis on the following aspects:
- Experience managing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven experience in reliability, MTBF and life calculations of other rotating components like seals, gaskets, etc.,
- Prior experience and proficiency with SolidWorks. Experience with Altium or other electrical CAD systems is a plus.
