A Day in Your Life at MKS:
As a Mechanical Engineer at MKS Global Capability Center Bangalore, you will partner with R&D teams across MKS PSD Business Units to deliver & participate in product development projects including product specification, conceptual and detail design, thermal and mechanical analysis and simulation, design for cost & manufacturability, documentation, test plan development and release to production.
You Will Make an Impact By:
- Modelling, design, and development of complex mechanical and opto-mechanical systems
- Complete documentation of designs conforming to MKS documentation standards including detail and assembly drawings, BOMs, design review presentations, and reports
- Apply GD&T and best practices for material selection, design trades, and tolerance studies
- Perform fundamental thermal/structural analyses to inform design decisions
Skills You Bring:
- 3D CAD experience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM, AutoCAD preferred.
- Knowledge and experience with mechanical and electrical hardware designs and ability to build and test prototypes
- Experience with new product development and Engineering Change Order processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams
- Preferred opto-mechanical product experience
