The Role

ZOLL Itamar is an innovative medical device technology company that focuses on the development and manufacturing of Home Sleep Apnea Tests to aid in the diagnosis of respiratory sleep disorders. Our core product is the WatchPAT®️ family, a revolutionary FDA-cleared portable home sleep apnea test device, that is based on propriety signal and analysis. 80% of patients who have sleep apnea are undiagnosed.  We are committed to reach those undiagnosed patients and provide testing to promote wellness and enhance overall quality of life.   WatchPAT®️ is commercially available within major markets including the U.S., Japan, and Europe, and is the leading home sleep apnea test in the US.

Responsibilities:

  • Product development from concept to feasibility and prototyping, design.

  • Performing detailed design, including drawings, calculations, etc.

  • Lead changes in existing product designs and support production engineering with improvements and problem solving.

  • Preparation, editing, and presentation of design reviews.

  • Planning and performing experiments and tests in the R&D laboratory.

  • Writing supporting procedures for transferring to production.

  • Manage all mechanics related documentation.

Education:

  • BSc degree in Mechanical engineering.

  • MSc degree in Mechanical - an advantage.

Must have Experience:

  • At least 6-7 years' experience in developing new products and understanding development processes in their stages

  • Experience in SolidWorks - High-level expertise

  • Experience in plastics

  • Previous work experience in a company that manufactures mass production, with familiarity with all stages of development, including transfer to production.

  • Experience solving mechanical engineering problems at the component and system level.

Advantage:

  • Experience with multidisciplinary products (including electronics)

  • Experience in writing technical documentation

  • Experience in managing subcontractors

  • Experience with Injection molding

  • Experience in medical device companies

  • Experience working with 3D printing systems

Capabilities:

  • Excellent design and development skills, from parts and sub-modules to final product and production support.

  • Knowledge in all aspects of manufacturing tolerances.

  • Skill at creating and maintaining accurate documentation of concepts, designs, drawings, and processes.

Language:

Hebrew and English -  Strong written and verbal communication.
