We are seeking a self-motivated Mechanical Engineer with 5-7 years of experience to assist our industrial and mechanical project teams in the design and implementation of refinery-based mechanical projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Assist with engineering and design of mechanical projects in the Oil and Gas industry
- Coordinate with disciplines internally and communicate well with engineers, contractors, and outside Clients
- Respond to RFI’s for the project and accurately review submittals
- Conduct and attend site visits and prepare site reports
- Meet with vendors to determine specification requirements for application
- Perform field verification and take-offs of existing systems for renovation projects
- Assist in preparation of cost estimates
- Assist in creation of project schedules and resourcing
- Project Manage and lead engineering projects, as required
- All other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of —10 years of experience
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University
- Professional Engineering License preferred, but not required
- Project Management Experience
- Knowledge in PSV sizing
- Proficient in rotating equipment
- Ability to read and interpret pump / compressor curves
- Ability to size pumps and compressors
- Familiar with API seal plans
- Knowledge in industrial piping
- Ability to run pipe stress analysis utilizing Caesar II Software
- Ability to run pipe flow calculations
- Knowledge in understanding and interpreting ASME Code for process piping and pressure vessels
- Ability to run pressure vessel nozzle/re-pad calculations
- AutoCAD experience preferred, but not required
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong focus on client satisfaction.
