Summary:
The TekniPlex Molded Fiber team is seeking a mechanical engineer who will design and manage projects to improve plant processes. Your efforts will directly impact the startup of new manufacturing processes by actively participate in testing and troubleshooting of new fiber molding machines. You will use engineering decisions to impact real world manufacturing processes. The position is located in a state-of-the-art facility which has been operational for 1 year. Previous experience in molded fiber is not required.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
• Lead projects in the design and modification of tooling components using SolidWorks.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to refine molded fiber tooling for optimal
performance.
• Organize and maintain CAD file structures and documentation for tooling projects.
• Support prototyping and testing efforts as needed.
• Support equipment assembly and mechanical modifications as needed.
• Employ your SolidWorks skills to modify assemblies and create 2D prints.
• Continuously apply learnings of the real-world behavior and uses of various tooling materials.
• Continuously apply learnings about molded fiber technology and how it is used as a sustainable
packaging material.
• Support maintenance with reading drawings, parts specifications, and machine function.

Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software.
• Ability to convert 3D models into 2D prints.
• Basic understanding of manufacturing processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Experience using basic hand tools and measuring devices.
• Interest in sustainable materials, paper manufacturing, and packaging design is a plus.
• Knowledge of 3D printing tools, design, and processes
