About the role Job SummaryThe Mechanical Engineer is responsible for researching, planning, designing, and developing mechanical products and systems. This includes instruments, controls, engines, and machines used in energy production, transmission, and measurement.
This job profile is intended for early-career professionals who apply broad theoretical knowledge and require the ability to investigate and analyze problems. Solutions are typically discussed/verified with a more senior member.
Job title - Mechanical Design Engineer
Main accountabilities and tasks-
1.Contribute in the team-work developing detailed solutions within the concept
2.Creating CAD models for the product ranges (parts & assemblies)
3.Create 3D Models, Manufacturing Drawing for the parts and assemblies
4.Generate support documentations from CAD (as applicable) like exploded views, Dim-drawings, P&ID etc.
5.Generate pictures from CAD to be used in manuals
6.Coordinating and reporting to Sulzer Legal Entities
Desired experience and qualifications
Work experience: 3+ years
Expertise (e.g. professional, technical): Experience in Sheet metal Design, Knowledge of manufacturing methods, limitations, Laser cutting and nesting principles, Welding of sheet metal parts, Understanding of mechanisams: bearings, lubrication, etc.
Knowledge of Sheet metal modules in CAD (Inventor), Vault. Knowledge of Fusion team will be added advantage.
Basic knowledge of systematic approach to risk management, like FMEA.
Capability to make simple strength calculations.
Good knowledge of GD&T
Education: Level: Bachelor's Degree
