About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 1-4 years in mechanical engineering systems design experience with a consulting firm for Industrial/Manufacturing/Process projects. 
  • E.I. certification is required
  • Prefer LEED certification
  • Demonstrated knowledge using AutoCADD and REVIT software.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously

As a Mechanical EIT, you will:

  • Conceptualizes the initial mechanical design approach for major phases of large industrial facilities projects.
  • Prepares engineering reports, plans and specifications for major projects. Design and produce engineering drawings and instructions based on calculations.
  • Interprets and revise engineering drawings.
  • Conceive, plan and conduct research in complex problem areas.
  • Prepares plans and technical specifications, contract documents and estimates.
  • Selects and size equipment for systems.
  • Supervises the installation, repair and replacement of systems and ensure specifications and safety standards are met.
  • Participate in contract bidding and administration. Supervise and observe the design and ongoing progress of a project, including the coordination of the project with City, State and County officials and other outside agencies.
  • Assist in coordination of projects with clients, contractors, outside consultants and firm staff. Communicate and interact with project team members, client representatives, review agencies and others as appropriate to project.
  • Assist in resolving a variety of complex problems (e.g., conflicting design requirements, unsuitability of conventional materials, difficult coordination requirements).

Desirable Skills that are a “Plus”:

  • Digitally curious and comfortable diving in and working with coding and automation
  • Design automation skills, including the application of parametric design tools such as Dynamo and Grasshopper
  • Software Coding -especially with Python, and/or C#
  • Working with Revit’s API
  • Power BI for data visualization
