Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Mechanical Engineer (Site Supervision) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will oversee mechanical engineering operations on-site, ensuring projects are executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all technical specifications and regulatory requirements. You will serve as a key liaison between the engineering team, contractors, and project management, providing technical expertise and leadership to drive project success.

  • Review mechanical designs, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, calculations, and technical submissions related to mechanical works.
  • Conduct site inspections and supervise the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors, suppliers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure project milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide effective, practical solutions on site.
  • Manage and mentor junior engineers and inspectors, supporting their technical and professional development.
  • Ensure full compliance with Saudi building codes, local authorities’ requirements, and applicable standards.
  • Implement sustainable and energy-efficient engineering practices throughout project execution.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports, site observations, and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
  • Monitor quality, safety, and performance of mechanical works during all project phases.
  • Continuously improve processes and methodologies to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical installation, assembly, and commissioning activities on-site
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure work quality meets engineering specifications and industry standards
  • Monitor equipment performance and troubleshoot mechanical issues to minimize downtime and delays
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including daily reports, inspection logs, and as-built drawings
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols, environmental regulations, and Saudi Arabian building codes
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and subcontractors to manage schedules and resolve technical challenges
  • Lead and mentor on-site technical teams, providing clear direction and performance feedback
  • Analyze mechanical systems and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability
  • Manage quality control procedures and conduct testing to verify system functionality
  • Communicate project status, risks, and solutions to senior management and stakeholders
  • Maintain organized records of equipment specifications, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12+ years of experience, including strong background in engineering consultancy and site supervision.
  • Proven experience supervising mechanical works on large-scale industrial and commercial construction projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Saudi local building codes, standards, and authorities’ regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, piping, heat load calculations, and system sizing.
  • Proficiency in CAD and BIM software.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and construction methodologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to sustainable engineering and energy-efficient design solutions.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural site environment.

Skills Required
