You will be a key technical member of a cross-functional and rapidly growing organization. Your work will directly contribute to the demonstration of a first of a kind long-duration energy storage technology.

Roles & Responsibilities
  • Direct ownership of structural, fluid, and/or electrical subsystems and components within Antora’s thermal battery module by driving basic architecture evaluations, generating detailed requirements, performing analysis + detailed design, and driving prototyping, manufacturing and testing
  • Perform design calculations, FEA, and trade studies for structural, thermal, and fluid systems
  • Work closely with other team members to develop system requirements
  • Lead design reviews to solicit cross-functional feedback, document design status, and receive executive approval for major new designs or design changes
  • Develop and maintain engineering and CAD best practices, standards, documentation, and infrastructure
  • Mentor interns and/or junior engineers to develop their technical and professional capabilities

  • Creating engineering drawings (GD&T, ASME Y14.5)
  • Proficiency with finite element analysis (FEA) software, e.g. ANSYS, for structural and/or thermal analysis
  • Proficiency in relevant hand calculations for structural, thermal, fluids, and/or fatigue analysis
  • Experience with team-wide development of engineering processes, standards, infrastructure, and best practices.
  • Able to identify tradeoffs to determine where resources should be applied between systemic fixes (“glue” work) and short-term fixes, and flex between the two.
  • Self-driven, experienced in questioning requirements where appropriate, excited about learning new skills where needed to support the team
  • Collaborative working style with strong written and verbal communication skills; gives + accepts feedback with humility; puts the mission and team first when solving problems.

What We Do

Antora Energy is electrifying heavy industry with zero-carbon heat and power. We make it possible and profitable to fully rely on renewable energy for industrial processes.

Antora Energy's thermal energy storage soaks up excess solar and wind electricity and uses it to heat blocks of carbon so they glow like inside a toaster. This thermal energy is then delivered to customers as electricity or industrial process heat up to 1500°C, on demand. In short, Antora Energy turns sunshine and wind into 24/7 heat and power, cheaper than fossil fuels.

Our future hinges on heavy industry. Antora Energy’s technology eliminates the need to burn fossil fuels for industrial heat and power, the biggest source of greenhouse gasses on earth.

We are growing our company with people who put team and mission first, value connection through laughter and joy, and build with humility and openness. Join our team and do the most fulfilling and impactful work of your life on climate change.
