Hallmark is seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to provide technical leadership in the design, development, and implementation of products, tooling, and manufacturing processes within our GP manufacturing environment. This role blends hands‑on mechanical engineering with strategic thinking, cross‑functional leadership, and innovation that drives meaningful business impact.
The ideal candidate is recognized as a strong mechanical engineering expert, comfortable operating across product design, manufacturing, cost, and operations, and motivated to mentor others while advancing Hallmark’s manufacturing capabilities.
This position is located onsite full-time at Hallmark's Leavenworth Production Facility in Leavenworth, KS. Relocation is not provided.
The Mechanical Engineer will:
- Lead mechanical design and engineering efforts for products, tooling, and manufacturing processes from concept through production.
- Provide product and tooling cost estimates to support pitch, capital planning, and business cases.
- Develop performance specifications, design concepts, and future‑state solutions that improve product quality, manufacturability, and operational efficiency.
- Create and maintain detailed drawings, models, and supporting technical documentation.
- Support production and quality teams by troubleshooting and resolving design‑ and process‑related issues on existing products and equipment.
- Coordinate cross‑functional activities with operations, quality, supply chain, vendors, and customers to meet project schedules and milestones.
- Identify, evaluate, and implement innovative technologies and strategic partnerships that advance manufacturing capability.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical, Computer, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering or comparable engineering degree.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in a manufacturing environment or related industry
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a mechanical engineer in a manufacturing environment.
