Zachry Engineering Corporation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join our talented Mechanical Engineering Department in Omaha, NE. This is a great opportunity to get involved with exciting and challenging projects within various industries for career development and growth.
ResponsibilitiesResponsible for completing project specific objectives under direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
Specify, evaluate bids, and perform vendor document review for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.
Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
Specify Materials for process and utility piping services.
Attend Client, Vendor, and internal team project meetings.
Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering.
Minimum of 4 years of experience.
Experience applying standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to ensure compliance with design basis, and safety and environmental regulations.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
Must possess permanent authorization to work in the USA without the need of sponsorship now or in the future.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience as a Mechanical Engineer in the midstream, petrochemical, refining, power and energy transition industries.
FE with interest in obtaining PE.
