Role Overview
JR Automation is seeking a Mechanical Engineer I to contribute to the design, development, and testing of innovative custom factory automation and amusement park rides and attractions. This entry-level position offers an exciting opportunity to apply fundamental engineering principles in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
How You'll Make an Impact
Assist in the design and analysis of mechanical components and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO).
Conduct basic engineering calculations and simulations to validate designs and predict performance.
Support the development and execution of test plans for prototypes and finished products.
Collect and analyze test data
Collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional project teams
Participate in design reviews, contributing technical insights and problem-solving.
Research and evaluate new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes.
Document designs, processes, and test results in accordance with company standards.
Troubleshoot mechanical issues and propose solutions under guidance.

What You’ll Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
Familiarity with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CREO) is required.
Basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles, especially statics, dynamics and machine design
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Practical experience working on mechanical systems and a strong mechanical aptitude.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Prior internship or project experience in mechanical design or testing is a plus.
