As a Mechanical Engineer, you’ll leverage your strong foundation in physics, mathematics, and materials science to process and resolve mechanical problems, design and implement custom mechanical tooling and associated processes, and enable the handling, assembly, and disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle. You'll be responsible for designing, developing, and modifying mechanical engineering layouts, schematics, and specifications. You will oversee manufacturing and installation processes, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations-- and you'll coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components and equipment for design projects, identifying sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for, with some guidance, 1) creating models and drawings associated with waveguide and 2) managing demo logistics and operate the demo.
  • This job requires following all the safety protocols in day-to-day.
  • The candidate needs to communicate technical ideas and concepts to other mechanical engineering team members and non-mechanical engineering team member.
  • Interface with internal and external customers to understand specification and requirement.
  • Generate drawings per internal and relevant industrial standards.
  • Verify models and drawings against specification and requirement.
  • Manage shipment and receiving of the demo devices and parts.
  • Manage logistics and preparation of the demo for the customers.
  • Organaize demo devices and parts.
  • Operate demo devices and present them to the audiences(customers, suppliers, employees.)
  • Support startups and field issues regarding designed products.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and Experience
    • BS in Mechanical Engineering or the relevant field.
  • Engineering skills and Problem-Solving skills
    • Experience in 3D CAD software, ideally Siemens NX, and 2D CAD SW, Autodesk AutoCAD, to design and draw parts per ASME Y14.5M standard.
    • Solid hands-on ability in engineering lab.
  • Interpersonal skills:
    • Fluent in daily English conversation
  • Mindset:

    • Have vital learning agility and curiosity to learn new concepts, ideas, and subjects through work and self-learning, especially outside of the person's background.

    • Have a volunteering mindset to help and support other team members to accelerate and move projects forward smoothly.
    • Have the flexibility to handle random projects and frequent priority/scope changes.
    • Have the flexibility to operate efficiently in a dynamic work environment with frequent priority and scope changes as well as swapping between both short and long term projects.

    • This is on-site position.
    • Be able to move and carry 20lbs parts.

The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.

For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
