This entry-level role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals eager to work on the design and development of custom automation equipment solutions for every application, process, and industry.  

Location Type: This is an onsite role based in Holland, Michigan.

How You’ll Make an Impact: 

• Develops mechanical and electromechanical products by studying customer requirements.
• Identifying deficiencies in mechanical processes and developing improvements.
• Performs engineering calculations to support design work.
• Confirms system and product capabilities by designing feasibility and testing methods and properties.
• Designs and develops prototypes.
• Analyzes and tests prototypes and each revision of device.
• Prepares documentation of critical analysis and provides suggestions for correcting errors.
• Performs detailed documentation to track project development and design proves.
• Supervises the development of CAD project drawings from junior team members.
• Contact vendors for proper sizing and quotation of purchased items needed for design.
• Applies standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform assigned tasks as part of a broader assignment.
• Exercises limited judgement on details of work and in application of standard methods for conventional work.
• Completes projects by training and guiding technicians.
• Relies on experience and judgment in addition to guidelines, procedures, and instructions to accomplish tasks.
• Assists with client, customer, or official contacts and communication pertaining to specific assignments or meetings.
• Travel up to 20%.

What You’ll Bring:  

• 0 – 3 years of experience working in engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.

Skills You’ll Have:   

• Familiar with most applications of the standard engineering discipline principles, practices, and procedures and can apply them independently.
• Experienced with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX, AutoCAD) and other mechanical design software.
