Wat is de rol

Als Mechanical Discipline Supervisor – Rotating, bied je technische ondersteuning aan het NAM area South West. Je fungeert als brug tussen technici en ingenieurs en ondersteunt de dagelijkse activiteiten van de area. 

Je belangrijkste rol is het bieden van praktische mechanische technische ondersteuning in een brede context met focus op ontwerpintegriteit, operationele integriteit, technische integriteit (veiligheid kritische elementen en bijbehorende onderhoudsstrategieën), kostenefficiëntie en betrouwbaarheid van apparatuur door middel van intelligente zorg voor onze systemen. 

Wat je gaat doen

Je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden zijn onder meer:

• Werken volgens industriestandaarden en het Shell HSSE Control Framework
• Ervoor zorgen dat het onderhoud aan de Safety Critical Elements (SCE) is uitgevoerd volgens de werkinstructies, met inbegrip van een adequate opvolging wanneer er bevindingen zijn
• Uitvoeren van QA/QC op werkpakketten in SAP, met name voor uitgesteld werk
• Ervoor zorgen dat de mechanische technici bekwaam zijn. Je maakt deel uit van het panel bij het aanwerven van nieuwe technici
• Het leveren van technisch specialistische werktuigbouwkundige expertise en ondersteuning aan de productie-eenheid: Operations, Work Preps en Maintenance Technicians en engineers
• Het bieden van technische ondersteuning aan verschillende installaties binnen activa tijdens normale werking en tijdens shutdowns
• Het uitvoeren van fitness for service assessments van diverse apparatuur en advies over reparatiemogelijkheden (Management of Change)
• Deelnemen aan technische integriteitsaudits, RCA's en pre-start-up audits
• Analyseren van de conditie van apparatuur en het identificeren van mogelijkheden voor verbetering
• Fungeren als technische hub voor onderhoudscontracten in opdracht van NAM/Shell
• Bevordering van het gebruik van nieuwe technologieën en systemen
• Zorgen voor afstemming met disciplines als Elektrotechniek, PACO, Roterend, Proces, Materialen & Corrosie, Inspectie en Mechanisch
• Nauw samenwerken met de Inspectie & Mechanical Engineer, O&M Frontline, Projects & Turnaround en ondersteunen collega's

Wat je meebrengt

• Bachelor’s degree of MBO met relevante werkervaring op het gebied van werktuigbouwkunde /werktuigbouwkunde/mechatronica of vergelijkbaar
• Enige ervaring met SAP is wenselijk
• Relevante werkervaring in een industriële omgeving, waaronder plannen, roosteren en uitvoeren van taken  
• Een sterke focus op kwaliteit en een toewijding aan het handhaven van hoge kwaliteitsnormen
• Affiniteit met digitalisering is een pré
• Assertiviteit en kan autonoom werken

What’s the role

As Mechanical Discipline Supervisor – Rotating, you will provide technical support to the NAM production area in the South West. You will act as a bridge between technicians and engineers and will support the daily activities of the production unit.

Your main role is to provide practical mechanical technical support in a broad context with focus on design integrity, operational integrity, technical integrity (safety-critical elements and associated maintenance strategies), cost efficiency and reliability of equipment through intelligent care for our systems.

What you’ll be doing

Your main responsibilities will include:

• Working according to industry standards and Shell HSSE Control Framework
• Ensuring that maintenance on Safety Critical Elements (SCE) has been conducted according to the work instructions, including adequate follow-up when there are findings
• Conducting QA/QC on work packages in SAP, especially for deferred work
• Ensuring that the mechanical technicians are competent. You are part of the panel when hiring new technicians
• Providing technical specialist mechanical engineering expertise & support to the production unit: Operations, Work preps and Maintenance Technicians and engineers
• Providing technical support to various installations within assets during normal operation and during shutdowns
• Performing fitness for service assessments of various equipment and advice on repair options (Management of Change)
• Participating in technical integrity audits, RCAs and pre-start-up audits
• Analyzing the condition of equipment and identifying opportunities for improvement
• Acting as the technical hub for maintenance contracts on behalf of NAM/Shell
• Promoting the use of new technologies and systems
• Ensuring alignment with disciplines such as Electrical, PACO, Rotating, Process, Materials & Corrosion, Inspection and Mechanical
• Collaborating closely with the Inspection & Mechanical Engineer, O&M Frontline, Projects & Turnaround and support colleagues

What you bring

• Bachelor's degree or MBO with relevant work experience in the field of mechanical engineering/mechanical engineering/mechatronics or similar
• Some experience with SAP is desirable
• Relevant work experience in an industrial environment, including planning, scheduling and performing tasks  
• Strong focus on quality and commitment to maintaining high quality standards
• An affinity with digitization is an advantage
• Proficiency in Dutch language is preferred
• Assertiveness and can work autonomously
