The Position:
We are actively seeking a mechanical designer to join our growing location in Edmonton, Alberta.
What Will You Be Doing?
- Provide the coordination, verification, and design of mechanical building systems in various sectors (multi-family residential, commercial, industrial).
- Design mechanical building systems.
- Work closely with engineers to provide solutions tailored to clients’ needs.
- Understand and implement personal and company safety by adhering to all safety protocols.
- Assist in preparing, calculating, engineering, and designing drawings and specifications.
- Supervise, monitor, and inspect mechanical installations and construction projects.
What You Bring:
- A Diploma/ Degree in mechanical engineering, design, or technology.
- Minimum 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, low‑ and high‑rise buildings, and multi‑family residential projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical building systems design.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong working knowledge of applicable building codes, standards, and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- A natural self-starter with the ability to prioritize, self-schedule, and work with colleagues from various departments, market sectors, and locations.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written).
