MECHANICAL DESIGNER – VICTAULIC  -Corporate Engineering – EASTON, PA 
**RELOCATION PACKAGE OFFERED** 
*This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship* 
 
Victaulic is currently seeking a Mechanical Designer to work within our Engineering Design Department at its corporate facilities located in Easton, PA.  This position involves working within a collaborative team environment to design and document product solutions to satisfy our customer needs.  The successful candidate should possess a strong aptitude for creative design, be resourceful, detail oriented, and work comfortably within a cross-functional team environment. 
 
Primary Responsibilities: 
 
  • Create and/or modify concept layouts, 3D models, assemblies, and detail drawings utilizing SolidWorks Computer Aided Design (CAD) with SolidWorks Product Data Management (PDM) software. 
  • Research relevant component and technical related resources in support of project objectives. 
  • Provide design solutions while being mindful of form, fit, function, manufacturability, and cost. 
  • Apply internal best practices along with applicable industry standards, e.g. ANSI, ASME. 
  • Maintain Technical Data Package throughout product lifecycle, e.g. drawings, revision history, bill of materials, literature submittals, etc. 
  • Collaborate with Product Engineers and entire product development teams. 
 
Qualifications:  
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred, or equivalent work-related experience. 
  • Proficient use of a 3D CAD software, SolidWorks preferred. 
  • Thorough understanding of the creation of detail drawings to fully convey form, fit, function along with most efficient manufacturability. 
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices/principles, e.g. interference checks, fits, tolerance stack-up/dimensional analysis, GD&T. 
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office. 
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Skills Required

  • Proficient use of 3D CAD software
  • Experience with SolidWorks (preferred)
  • Experience with SolidWorks PDM
  • Associates Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent work-related experience (degree preferred)
  • Thorough understanding of creating detailed drawings to convey form, fit, and function
  • Knowledge of engineering design practices: interference checks, fits, tolerance stack-up, dimensional analysis
  • Knowledge and application of GD&T
  • Familiarity with industry standards (ANSI, ASME)
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office
