Group/Division

The SensArray division is the world leading provider of in situ processing measurement and control solutions for the semiconductor industry. The company provides measurement and control solutions to both semiconductor fabs and mask shops to ensure that yields are consistently high thus enabling cost-effective manufacturing SensArray business unit is dedicate to support customer R&D phase as well as HVM with in-situ thermal process control. SensArray business unit enable APC (Automated Process Control) to improve process optimization and yield improvement.

Job Description/Preferred Qualifications

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and develop precision mechanical components, assemblies, and subsystems using Creo and SolidWorks.
  • Lead mechanical designs from concept through release, including feasibility studies, prototyping, testing, integration, and manufacturing support.
  • Compose and maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, specifications, layouts, and ECOs.
  • Develop, program, modify, and optimize CNC machine programs using G-code and M-code to manufacture precision components.
  • Lead product configuration and revision control using PLM tools such as Intralink or Enovia.
  • Perform GD&T, tolerance analysis, error budgeting, and engineering analysis to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.
  • Conduct structural, thermal, vibration, and basic FEA analysis.
  • Design and integrate electro-mechanical, fluidic, optical, and motion-control subsystems.
  • Develop system schematics and layouts based on product and customer requirements.
  • Select materials based on thermal, chemical, and mechanical performance requirements.
  • Partner with manufacturing and suppliers to improve quality, cost, and manufacturability.
  • Support prototype builds, solving, root cause analysis, and design improvements.
  • Lead and participate in design reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and safety standards are met.

Experience & Scope

  • Independently implement sustaining and new product development projects.
  • Own mechanical subsystem design, release, and lifecycle support.
  • Support system integration, testing, qualification, and validation activities.
  • Develop test procedures, manufacturing documentation, and service instructions.
  • Drive solving and root cause investigations for complex technical issues.
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to deliver solutions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proficiency with Creo (preferred) and SolidWorks, generate engineering drawings, GD&T, and documentation practices.
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Intralink or Enovia.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing or cleanroom environments.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of silicon wafer materials, wafer handling practices, and semiconductor manufacturing processes.
  • Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages, including G-code and M-code, with the ability to create, modify, optimize, and validate machining programs.
  • Knowledge of precision machining, vacuum systems, and thermal management.
  • Proficiency with material compatibility, thermal expansion, and precision mechanical design.
  • Exposure to thermal, stress, and strain modeling.
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of material behavior in precision and temperature-sensitive applications.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $117,800.00 - $200,300.00 Annually

Skills Required

  • Technical degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • Strong proficiency in 3D CAD tools (Creo/ProE preferred; SolidWorks acceptable)
  • Experience with PLM systems such as Intralink or Enovia
  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings, GD &T, and documentation standards
  • Hands-on experience with CNC programming (G-code) and machining processes
  • Familiarity with semiconductor manufacturing environments and cleanroom practices
  • Understanding of silicon material properties and behavior in temperature/precision environments
  • Experience supporting prototype builds, testing, and troubleshooting
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Experience in electro-mechanical or semiconductor capital equipment design
  • Exposure to precision machining and high-vacuum or high-temperature systems
  • Familiarity with DFM/DFA principles, precision machining, and fabrication processes
  • Working knowledge of FEA tools for structural and thermal simulations
  • Experience with material compatibility and CTE/heat expansion/contraction
  • Ability to develop system schematics and flow diagrams (P &ID)
  • Experience managing supplier design requirements and outsourced subsystems
  • Experience in thermal modeling and stress/strain modeling
  • Exposure to Mechanical AI and use of AI agents/workflow to expedite mechanical design
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
