The opportunity:
Hitachi Energy is looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our team in Vietnam. You will play a crucial role in the development and design of innovative products and systems that meet our customer needs and industry standards.
How you will make an impact
You will lead the development of design specifications and models, ensuring they meet all relevant standards and regulations.
You will conduct thorough design reviews and verifications, implementing modifications to elevate project quality.
You will monitor and manage project timelines, ensuring design milestones are achieved and projects are delivered on schedule.
You will conduct risk assessments, develop mitigation strategies, and seek opportunities for design innovations.
You will engage with customers to capture and incorporate their feedback into design solutions, enhancing customer satisfaction.
You will collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective, selecting optimal materials and components.
You will prepare and maintain detailed documentation that supports design processes and facilitates knowledge sharing.
You will identify and implement continuous design improvements based on test results and industry best practices, enhancing quality and efficiency.

Your background:
Degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
3-5 years of experience in design engineering.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Pro-active attitude, self-motivated and with a strong sense of ownership.
Open to change, feedback and continuous improvement.
