Job Title: Engineer, Senior
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic Senior Engineer to drive manufacturing efficiency and productivity at our Ontario facility. In this role, you will optimize equipment, resources, and processes, lead feasibility studies, and provide technical leadership. Your expertise will enhance operations in machining, metal forming, welding, and more, ensuring compliance with industry standards and Linamar’s core values.
Responsibility:

Ensure adherence to legislative and industry standards including OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, and TS 16949.

Develop and refine process plans, conduct time studies, and lead feasibility studies.

Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and maintenance teams to resolve issues and optimize production methods.

Provide technical leadership and supervise the development and training of engineering personnel.

Maintain engineering documentation and manage project quotations and standard costing.
Academic/Educational Requirements:
-
Bachelor’s degree or technology diploma in engineering or related field.

Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation required.

4-6 years of experience in machining or manufacturing, with supervisory or project management experience.

Proficiency in SPC methods, APQP process, and CAD/CAM systems.
Required Skills/Experience:

Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to process improvement.

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Advanced knowledge of statistical analysis software and experience with quality and environmental systems.

Ability to stay updated on new technologies and apply risk analysis techniques effectively
